About Us We need to go through the Good // the bad the Easy // the hard the ugly // the Beautiful We don’t gain growth in comfort. We gain growth by being stretched. – Suzy (Wigstadt) Simonson – Suzy (Wigstadt) Simonson Best Selling Author, International Speaker and a Success Strategist. At the time of her stroke, Suzy had been a professional photographer, working with her mom for six years. Upon being released from the hospital barely able to talk, she refused to cancel a scheduled photo shoot – knowing in her soul she had to face the challenge rather than shrink away. Inside somewhere, somehow, she KNEW that when she tried something and failed for the sixth time, it just meant she would get it on the seventh try. After her hemiplegic migraine and stroke, Suzy was hospitalized and left with the mindset of a newborn baby. She lost all of her memory, as well as the ability to speak and move freely. Her love for life, people and trying to communicate never left… she would smile, wink and take pictures to let her family and the hospital staff know that she would be okay. Giving up was not an option! She regained her memories, as they were like a lottery ticket: The knowledge was hidden there, ready to be scratched off and resurface. In her recovery from the stroke – she knew that she had to fight to get well for her family. Today Suzy is back in full force with her love for people and life. She has more tenacity than most people can fathom. She is now healthy, and she lives in Minnesota near her family with her husband who has joined her in building Stroke to Success. Suzy loves every new chance she gets to connect with people who need her as much as she needs them, knowing by doing what she does best, she helps them become THEIR best! Brian Simonson Operations Manager, All Around AMAZING GUY, Suzy Wrangler Stroke to Success would just be a thought, if it weren’t for Brian Simonson! Brian’s role of Operations Manager suits his varied organizational, process, development, and people skills perfectly. When Brian and Suzy first met, he heard her life story and that she “had a book inside, that she wanted to write but hadn’t been able to write it.” On her two-year anniversary of the stroke, he gifted her with a journal to start writing. He also knew her well enough to have bright colored pens to make it interesting, a whoopee-cushion for laughs, and silly putty to relieve the tension. This shows the depth of Brian’s heart! When Brian sees a need, whether, for a friend or client, he puts time and energy into how to meet that need in the best and most meaningful way. His thoughtfulness and selflessness are apparent in all he does! He enjoys making something out of nothing– including the leftovers in the fridge! He loves adventures, camping and finding the next best place to go! He is an amazing cook, organizer, planner, son, brother, UNCLE, friend and soul mate! He brings a calm to the storm and is a genius at figuring out a way through complicated situations. He is not a man of many words in a crowd, but you can count on what he does say to be funny, sarcastic, or REALLY smart! He puts the people in his life in front of himself and loves them with everything he has. As Brian and Suzy travel the world with Stroke to Success, it only makes sense that they do it together. They are both strong on their own and BETTER together!
